Where did this all begin? Well let us jump back all the way to 2015 for a brief moment when Killbuilt became an idea. Originally John Keller which happens to be my father's best friend, came up with this name for a clothing brand back in 2015. He wanted to go in on it together with Brian Mack, my father, in hopes of making it a large clothing brand. However, my uncle decided to buy EVERY URL that existed in regards to Killbuilt (Killbuilt.com, .org, .net, etc.). This complicated John and my dad's plans going forward as they would have to buy the URL for whatever price my uncle wanted for it which was not going to be as cheap as the $10 I paid for it. Not only that, but John and my father also work in the same business outside of trying to start the clothing brand. Around this time their business' were asking a lot of them, which ultimately made them put Killbuilt on the back burner for 7+ years.

Fast forward to 2021, I Levi Mack had just arrived back from Houston, TX after a failed attempt in trying to grow my own personal brand. During this time I was extremely hard on myself due to the failure, which I now see as a learning lesson. Not only that but I was under a lot of stress. This stressful and disappointing time in my life actually spiraled into the onset OCD and GAD. During 2021 and into 2022 I had to learn how to adjust to this new brain abnormality as my life has no longer been the same since. However, as it became better to manage over time I decided I wanted to start something that would stand for going through tough times and eventually making you stronger. For whatever reason I chose a clothing brand which soon became what is now; "Killbuilt."
Killbuilt to me means being "Kill built/Built To Kill" or in other words being built to endure tough challenges and killing it in your pursuits. Also, it just sounded tough and as a guy I liked that. Also, as some of you noticed it says "Building Egos Since Now." Essentially to me that means that when you put on the clothing NOW you have fueled your ego because you feel so awesome in the clothing. Sure it is a little corny, but I liked it and it was a part of the original design. But before deciding on Killbuilt for the name I ran into a couple mental road blocks.
Deciding on the name Killbuilt was such a challenge, I was trying so many different names like "Grit" and honestly that is as far as I got in terms of finding a name I liked somewhat. During this entire time I kept getting "Just name it Killbuilt" in the back of my mind. I was arguing against it so much because I did not like the fact that I was taking something someone else came up with. I wanted to be the creative genius behind the name. However, I decided after almost a week of trying to come up with names that I would go with Killbuilt and stop being so prideful and just give credit to John for the name when someone asked "How did you come up with Killbuilt."
All in all, I want to give credit to John Keller for coming up with this name as it is one of the coolest names for a clothing brand in my opinion. Not only that I want to thank him for allowing me to use the name as I did ask for permission. Lastly, whatever you're going through or go through in this life is going to be challenging. Life can be fun, but for all of us there's times when it is not unfortunately. However, those times are what develop character, making you stronger and overall "Killbuilt."
Sincerely, Killbuilt
